Join KCADP in honoring Kentucky's death penalty abolitionists at the Muhammad Ali Center on Jan. 14. Tickets are $20.

The Kentucky Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty is hosting this special event honoring Kentuckians who’ve played a special role in advancing the effort to abolish capital punishment in the commonwealth at the Muhammad Ali Center (144 N. 6th St., Louisville) on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and include access to the Ali Center’s exhibits as well as the coffee and dessert reception. Limited to 95 persons, purchase your ticket now by visiting the NCADP website and scrolling down the page where you can order the number of tickets you need.

Here are our special honorees: Al Bennett, Brad Castleberry, Carl Enoch, Fr. Dick Sullivan, Ed Monahan, Kathleen Hils, Everett Hoffman, George Edwards, Jane Chiles, Jean Edwards, Kevin McNally, Kenyon Meyer, Maria Hines, Mary Lou Houck, Peter Houck, and Suzy Post.

In addition we are honoring two local businesses that have helped us raise the money needed to carry out this important work: Just Creations and Amazing Green Planet.

We also remember those who have died and who were special friends of KCADP: Ann Braden, Annette McLaughlin, Bernie Halvorsen, Ed Stieritz, Janice Netherland, Ken Dupre, Louis Coleman, Margaret Barker, Michael Endres, Neal Walker, Norman Linton, Paul Stevens, and Peter Reilly.
