Abolition NOW! goes to press asking Will Kentucky Be The First Southern State to Repeal

The latest issue of Abolition NOW! is at the printer, but you don’t have to wait for its arrival in the mail to read it. Just click on the image or here to see why Kentucky can be the first southern state to repeal the death penalty.

The mailed copy will include three items, two of which are available here: the new KCADP Brochure filled with a summary of the major findings of the Kentucky Assessment Team’s report issued last December; and the postcard for mailing to Governor Beshear asking him to refrain from signing death warrants for the rest of his term.

State Fairgoers signed nearly 1,000 of these postcards which will soon be delivered to the Governor. You can download the postcard and print to card stock and mail with a first class stamp to the Governor. Or easier, write him a short note and mail him a letter.

The third enclosure, not included here, is an envelope to use in sending KCADP a generous and much-needed donation. Online readers may use our secure PayPal link to donate.

If you wish to come to a fundraiser in Louisville and enjoy the company of other KCADP supporters, send us an email – staff@kcadp.org – and we will send you the address of the home of our hosts. We suggest a minimum donation of $25.00. At this event you may use your credit cards. We accept them all.

Donors of $100 or more will receive a beautiful plaque with a text written by Wendell Berry for KCADP.
