KCADP heads to Centre College for Vice Presidential debate

Speakers for the repeal of the death penalty have been granted the 4 p.m. time slot at Centre College’s Speakers Park on Oct. 11, 2012 before the evening debate.

Speakers include Ben Griffith whose brother was murdered. Ben is an eloquent advocate on behalf of those who lost loved ones to violence. If you can’t make it to Danville, you can watch his video statement here:

Also speaking will be Michael VonAllmen who the state of Kentucky wrongfully convicted. He served 11 years before his release in 1994. He dedicated years to establishing his innocence and, finally, in 2010 his name was cleared.

The Kentucky Innocence Project was instrumental in helping him win this tremendous victory. You can view a video about this success story here.

If you plan to be at Speaker’s Park and willing to help, we need volunteers to distribute KCADPs materials and get postcards to the governor signed asking him not to sign death warrants for those condemned to death using our broken system of justice.
