Coalition to Hire Organizer

KCADP seeks to abolish the death penalty in Kentucky through a multi-faceted campaign that includes education, grassroots organizing, and media and advocacy work.  KCADP uses a variety of tactical and strategic organizing approaches and tools, including public educational forums, grassroots leadership trainings, rallies, and coalition building, among others. In all things, KCADP puts an emphasis on relationship building.  At the direction of the Project Advisory Committee, the Statewide Community Organizer will develop and implement a strategic statewide grassroots organizing plan, with a focus on targeted legislative districts. The focus of the work will be engaging targeted individuals and communities: members of faith groups, law enforcement, conservatives, the families of murder victims, and persons and communities of color. The goal is to maintain and strengthen relationships with a variety of stakeholders and allies empowered to act locally in carrying out the KCADP strategic campaign plan.
