Rev. Pat Delahanty, chair

The Rev. Pat Delahanty chairs the coalition and was involved in its incorporation. For his work with the Racial Justice Act, Delahanty was named Abolitionist of the Year in 1998 by the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. He also has received the Rights Enforcer Award by the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Rosa Parks Award from the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy.

Delahanty also is the producer of the Case Against the Death Penalty video project.

Don Vish, director of education and advocacy

Donald Vish has been KCADP’s director of education and advocacy for almost a year. He a lawyer and lectures at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville on law and literature.

Vish is a board member of the Louisville Bar Association, president of Interfaith Paths to Peace, a board member and executive director of the Joan and Lee Thomas Foundation, and an elected life member of the American Law Institute.

Kaye Gallagher, coordinator and treasurer

Kaye Gallagher has been KCADP coordinator for a decade. Her duties involve organizing community events that include state capitol visits and execution vigils, preparing newsletters, bookkeeping, and fundraising.

A print journalism graduate of Western Kentucky University, Gallagher has worked at several Kentucky newspapers.
